The Cutest Fabric Basket

Little later than normal posting this morning since I wanted to show you a completed "Fabric Basket", the cutest thing ever!  It took me less than an hour to put this together this morning after cutting the fabric last Friday and adhering the iron on interfacing to the back side of the outside fabric.  I couldn't pass up the coordinating "Fat Quarters" that I purchased last week at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 each.  So cute, selecting the button fabric for the outside of the basket and used the spool fabric for the lining.  All you need is two 11" squares of fabric for the basket, two 11" squares for the lining and two 11" squares of interfacing that you iron on the basket fabric.  SIMPLE!
I watched several UTube videos to find a simple and easy one and chose "How to Make Fabric Baskets in Five Sizes".

Here are the pictures I took during the process for you to check out.

Left is the basket fabric with the interfacing already pressed on to it and pieces sewn together.

Finished basket!  Isn't it too cute?

Fabric Basket shown with a square box of tissues to show you the size.

Since a fat quarter only makes one fabric basket this size, my next project is going to take my leftover fabric and figure the largest square I can make and cut out another fabric basket.  Looks like it will be around a 6" square. The only thing that I need to adjust after cutting out the squares is the square that needs to be cut our for the gusset.

Off to see if I can make this smaller size work!  Check back on Thursday to see how I made out😃
