Scrap Bag

Finally got around to unpacking and checking out closely all of the scraps that were in the $4.95 Scrap Bag that I purchased at Lady Fingers last Saturday.  Why today?  Well I got notice that the wall hanging pattern I posted yesterday shipped!

My first thought was to try and see how many of the fabrics in the scrap bag might work for this project, thinking the pieces were really small.  I was very surprised to see there was nothing smaller than a 2-1/2 strip and over 3/4's of the pieces were closer to 8" wide and 22" long.  Once the pattern arrives, I am going to check out the size of the pieces and use as many from  the scrap bag BEFORE I purchase any fabrics other than the background.  Right now I am leaning towards using a bleached muslin for the background.

Here is the picture of the scrap bag all laid out so you can get some kind of idea of the variety of the prints and colors of the fabrics I received.  I was very happy with what I received and will make this purchase again.

Time got away from me yesterday morning so I never machine quilted one of my place mats.  Already did one today and will catch up with another one as soon as I hit "Publish".  Seems that 1000 piece lighthouse puzzle was calling my name!

Sewing Update & More!

With the snow behind us and FRIGID weather for the next few days, it is the perfect excuse to stay inside and work on some sewing and crafts.  My list is long and I can't wait to see what I can accomplish today!

I promised an update on my "baby" fabric basket that I made with the scraps of material from the fat quarters I bought to make the 11" fabric basket.  The largest square scrap I could make was 6".  It was so cute as I sewed it, however turning the fabric right side out was a tad bit challenging!  Next time I will make the opening for turning a little larger and hop that will make it easier.  I still have some small scraps left that I will save for a future project!๐Ÿ˜ƒ  Here is a finished picture of both baskets side by side.  Not sure what I will put in the smaller basket, but I have seen people use them for all kinds of gifts and figure I will fins something to use it for soon!

Been trying to machine quilt one place mat a day since I got the backing and binding fabric over the weekend.  They are NOT perfect, but I love how they are turning out and pleased that I was able to make smooth sandwiches when I basted together.  I need to commit here to working on the table runner which I am hand quilting. Now sure why I am nervous to start it!  OK, so I will plan to work on it later this afternoon.

I did a wide variety of things yesterday after machine quilting the place mat.  After lunch I finished a scrapbook page that I started at a crop last year.  It just needed a title, so I pulled out my baby Cricuit to cut the title and date.  Voila!  Another page done!  At crops I do as much as I can on a page, but don't drag my Cricuit with me and just complete the titles or whatever when I get home.  I think there are three more pages on my work desk right now, so hope to finish at least one more this afternoon.

Due to the weather and road conditions, "The Boy" came home at lunch and worked the rest of the day from home.  Good decision as the snow got heavier and the road conditions got worse.  I ended up starting AND finishing the three card samples and putting together of the kits for my Monday Card Kit!  Just need to write the directions and print them today.

Today I close with a picture of another project I will be working on.  The pattern is ordered and on its way!

Card Kit for the Week - Summer Silhouettes

A day late with posting the card kit for the week.  Ran out of yellow ink for my printer so I was unable to print out the directions for making the cards.  Should have the ink in a day or so, should be able to ship out at that time.

This set was an all time favorite before it was retired, since it has a nice variety of stamps.  I used every stamp in the set when I created the samples for this kit.  Perfect for a snowy day when we think and count the days until Spring.  ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Here are the pictures of the stamp set and samples that are included to make in the kit.  As a reminder, in addition to the stamp set you will get materials to make 2 cards each of 3 designs by just adding your favorite adhesive and a few stamp pads.  Cost is $25 with shipping included!  This is a great deal as when I went to the post office yesterday to mail just a stamp set the cost went from $3.75 to $4.57.  Email me at abolse@yahoo.com. If you are interested in purchasing and I will send the first person who responds an invoice via Paypal.

Road Trip Review

Whew!
What a whirlwind of a weekend.  Happy as a clam today as I start a new week with some new projects.  BUT first......a recap of the road trip to several local quilt stores.

My sister and sister-in-law met at my house before 9 AM, ready to head out to The Wooden Bridge Drygoods in Kutztown, PA.  The store was about 30 minutes away, driving through beautiful farmland and historic homes on mostly windy roads.  We even were startled to see an Amish Horse and Buggy in our travels!

Here are my travel mates/co-pilots in from of the store.

This store was AMAZING!  Not only did they have good prices, but great quality and organized so well.  It was easy to find what you were looking for.....IF you knew what you were looking for! The staff was very cheerful and helpful!   I had so much fun finding fabrics for a king size quilt I want to make for us.  Here are the set of fat quarters, and a few add on fabrics (the purples) that I purchased for this project.

I was also able to find the backing and binding fabrics to finish my table runner and place mats.  I think all of us had a fun and successful shopping experience at the Wooden Bridge Store.  We loaded our purchases in to the car, set the GPS on my I-Phone and headed to the second store, Ladyfingers in Oley, PA, about 30 minutes away.

This store is in an old historic hotel.  So quaint and filled with more modern fabrics that Wooden Bridge who is run by the Mennonites.  We were able to go upstairs to look at their classroom, where a class was in progress.  I also got a look at the longarm set up they have where individuals can take classes and rent the machine to quilt their projects.   None of us had big purchases in this store, as I think we had found most of what we were looking for at the first store.  I did purchase a few fat quarters to match fabrics I had at home for some more fabric baskets and scored a bag of "scraps" for $4.95.  When I opened the bag last night I was so happily shocked at how large some of the pieces were and look forward to sewing them together for a scrappy project!

We had lunch at a pizza place in Oley before heading home.  All in all I think it was a very productive day and I can't wait to go back once I complete some of the projects I have in progress!  I have only been retired for about 7 weeks and I am already getting a "stash" of fabrics.

Saturday afternoon I spent washing and drying all of the fabrics I purchased.  Sunday I cut the batting and backing for the table runner and placemats.  Once the "sandwiches" were pinned together I basted them all so they are ready to start quilting today.  Promised my sister-in-law, who hand quilts most of her projects, that I would hand quilt the table runner, but plan to machine quilt the placemats.

Here are the pictures I took to show work in progress of the pinning and basting I did yesterday.

Today I plan to get some sewing done!  I am anxious to start my king size quilt, but need to finish this project first.  Watch out for progress update later this week!

Yea for the Weekend!

Busy day ahead with errands as well as plans to finish the last sample for an upcoming card class.  Be on the look out for dates and details!

Tomorrow is the road trip to two quilt stores in my area with my sister and sister-in-law.  So looking forward to shopping with these two, as I feel like a "newbie" compared to them.  Over thirty years I took a quilt class with a good friend where we made a different block every few weeks.  My friend, who is also my hairdresser and I were talking about it during my appointment this week.  Neither of us ever quilted our tops since we no longer have those bed sizes in our home.  She still has hers, but I think mine got given away when I was purging for our move.

Directions to the stores are printed out for my co-pilot in case my I-Phone Maps program doesn't cooperate!  I figured out the yardage I need for the backing of my table runner and place mats, but want to review it one more time before we leave.  Not sure what else I will be looking for on this trip.  I do want to start a king size quilt for our bed and have picked a pattern, however I am not sure I am quite ready to start a big project like this right now.

Check back in a few days for a complete recap and pictures of our "road trip "experience!

Winter Sampler Workshop

Brrrrrrr!
It isn't quite as cold outside as it was Sunday in to Monday, but it is WINTER!

I jump around with my crafting like a jumping bean these days and LOVE IT.  It is so much fun to sew one day, scrapbook the next and make a few cards another day.  In fact it is so much fun that I actually try and do two different crafts a day to keep me productive and excited.

It has been a few days since I started working on this Winter Sampler Workshop.  Samplers are so much fun to make, but take quite awhile to design since with so many pieces involved, since you are actually doing NINE different layouts.  It is just the fact that instead on 12" x 12" they are 3" x 3".

Here is the completed Winter Sampler:

The picture doesn't do it justice, using cool colors for the sampler, including Stampin' Up Smokey Slate, Mint Macaron and Powder Pink.  There is very little stamping involved in this design, however there is a ton of framelits, thinklits and punches used to create this sampler.

Seats are limited for this workshop held at my home, so email me now to save a seat!
***Will be keeping my fingers crossed the winter weather will cooperate๐Ÿ™‚.

Saturday February 16, 2019
9 AM- 11 AM
Cost is $25 with the frame included or $20 without the frame.  I only have a limited number of frames available and they will be on a first come first serve basis.  It is a standard frame that Michael's carries and you can purchase with a coupon.  I can no longer purchase at the same cost to keep the class cost at $25.

$$$$ The High Cost to Craft $$$$

This morning I had a few appointments to go to and a few errands to run, hence the later than normal post.  One place I wanted to stop at was Joann's Fabric Store.  You see, coupons burn a hole in my pocket and for the first time since we moved (almost two years ago) I got one of their pamphlets with a ton of coupons.  The one that excited me was 40% everything not already on sale.  I prepared myself with a list of items I needed and wanted๐Ÿ™‚.

It took about 10 minutes for me to realize almost EVERYTHING I "needed" was already on sale!  Everything on my list that I "wanted" was also on sale for less than 40%, so why buy it when in another week or two I can use a 40% or 50% coupon to save money.

I was on a mission to look for another idea for a sewing project.  The one item of clothing that I have wanted for quite awhile is a nice quilted vest.  Every time I shop at Boscov's or Kohl's I look at them and refuse to pay their prices for something so simple to make. So I headed over to the pattern books to look what was available.

OMG!
I know it has been over twenty years since I have looked for a pattern and I was shocked to see the prices!  I can distinctly remember back then I thought they were expensive for tissue paper and newsprint like paper for the directions.  Then "a lot" was the cost of $2.95-$7.95 per pattern.

So guess how much this Simplicity easy-to-sew pattern was marked?

$16.95!

Yes, I did purchase it since this is EXACTLY what I was looking for as far as the design.  But all Simplicity patterns were on sale for $1.99!  Now that is a sale!

What is so sad is that at these prices for just a pattern, no wonder sewing clothing seems to becoming a lost art.  I hear they no longer teach it as a required subject in school, and most adults these days can't even sew on a button or hem an item of clothing they purchase at a store.  It is indeed a lot cheaper to make the flannel shirt I am wearing right now that I purchased at Vanity Fair for $9.99.  You can't even buy a yard of flannel material ON SALE for that price!

The quilted fabric was on sale, however I was not happy with their selection and will look at other stores over the weekend to see if I can find what I am looking for.  I don[t want to settle for a fabric until I look around since I have already waited so long for the vest.  Will keep you updated on this new sewing project as I start working on it over the next few weeks.

If there is a morale to this post...….watch for sales and NEVER buy a pattern at full price!

Happy Crafting!

The Cutest Fabric Basket

Little later than normal posting this morning since I wanted to show you a completed "Fabric Basket", the cutest thing ever!  It took me less than an hour to put this together this morning after cutting the fabric last Friday and adhering the iron on interfacing to the back side of the outside fabric.  I couldn't pass up the coordinating "Fat Quarters" that I purchased last week at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 each.  So cute, selecting the button fabric for the outside of the basket and used the spool fabric for the lining.  All you need is two 11" squares of fabric for the basket, two 11" squares for the lining and two 11" squares of interfacing that you iron on the basket fabric.  SIMPLE!
I watched several UTube videos to find a simple and easy one and chose "How to Make Fabric Baskets in Five Sizes".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqshLDBgtfw

Here are the pictures I took during the process for you to check out.

Left is the basket fabric with the interfacing already pressed on to it and pieces sewn together.

Finished basket!  Isn't it too cute?

Fabric Basket shown with a square box of tissues to show you the size.

Since a fat quarter only makes one fabric basket this size, my next project is going to take my leftover fabric and figure the largest square I can make and cut out another fabric basket.  Looks like it will be around a 6" square. The only thing that I need to adjust after cutting out the squares is the square that needs to be cut our for the gusset.

Off to see if I can make this smaller size work!  Check back on Thursday to see how I made out๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Friday Follow Ups

It is Friday again and we were blanketed overnight with a dusting of snow.  The weather people call this the "appetizer" before the "storm", since more snow, ice and sub zero temps are predicting tomorrow through Monday.  Glad it is after brunch with friends tomorrow and before my husband's Monday day off which is filled with appointments.

The table runner and six placemats are completely sewed and now ready for the batting, binding and backing.  Here is one of the placemats:

It was hard NOT to make a trip to the quilt store this week to select fabrics for the binding and backing since I am excited to finish them.  The seams are NOT perfect, but I am so happy with how they turned out so far for my first sewing and quilting project in over 25 years!

The plan right now is to add a small border to all items, back them and bind them.  I have NEVER hand quilted anything and promised my sister-in-law that I would try it on this project.  Since the placemats will be washed a lot, I PROMISED to hand quilt the table runner.

The Road Trip to several quilt stores is planned for a week from tomorrow, so I need to figure out yardages needed for the border, binding and backing.  Will check back in a few weeks to reveal my progress in hand quilting.๐Ÿ™‚

For those that follow me for scrapbooking and cardmaking, I haven't forgotten you!  Check Monday's posts for card kits I have for sale!  A new one will be up on Monday!  Kits already made and ready to go!  Be the first to email me to claim the set.

Afternoons are for papercrafts and next week I will share a new class I will be having in February!  Stampin Up! has some great new stamps and papers in their new catalog and are running their Sale-a-bration sale as well.  For each $50 in products purchased, earn free products!  Email me if you have any questions.  Please select me as your demonstrator by placing orders at:

Thanks and have a great weekend!

Newest Sewing Project

Tuesday when I met up with some high school friends for lunch, I suggested we meet at Hobby Lobby.  DANGEROUS!  It had been a few months since the last time I was there, before I retired and was obsessed with sewing and quilting again.  But I kept to my latest promise to myself to only purchase materials for one project at a time.

So this is what I purchased - two fat quarters of complementary fabrics.

How could I resist these two fabrics?  Buttons and spools, two things that are needed in order to sew and make projects.  Below is one of the free patterns I found on line and decided this would be a perfect gift idea and something I could make and sell at craft fairs.  Simple to make and easy to store until it is time for a craft fair.

Here is the link if you would like to have the directions for this project.
https://sewingwithscraps.com/scrappy-quilted-basket/?fbclid=IwAR38NGrREMwBp1suFvpR1OXFbW6oZ90Nog4cxjfKcJtK3lqa1-dkcMxfkqc

I can think of a ton of uses for this cute quilted basket:
*For the quilter/counted cross stitch crafter - put next to your chair for all your thread ends
*For the scrapbooker/card maker - put on your work station for those small scraps you throw away
*For the non-crafter - make one for every room to hold a square box of tissues
*For anyone - holds anything you want it to hold!  Baskets are the best!

PS:  I am finishing up the last few seams on my quilted placemats this morning!  Since I used the same fabric, pattern and block size as the table runner I made, I had to make a few adjustments to the placemats to make them the correct size since there was no pattern included for placemats.  I will post a picture of them tomorrow.  It will be another week before I get to the quilt store to purchase the border and backing fabric, so I will be starting the quilted basket tomorrow!

Happy Crafting!

Crafting on a Budget

A few years ago when m husband and I decided to downsize, build a modular home in a 55+ community, and started to think of retirement, budgeting was top on my list.  I say "my list" because I was the one that had so many hobbies and crafts that cost money and I knew I needed to get a grip on my spending.  As I cleaned out the finished basement in our home for the move, I parted with a ton of items that at the time I thought I had to have.  Well. some were 10+ years old!

Right then and there I decided to spend the next year on a budget for my scrapbooking hobby!  To make it stick, I told all of my friends that for a year I was NOT going to make any purchases for items that were not for a specific project.  I would use products I had on hand, even if it meant I had to spend a little more time when I designed a scrapbook page or card.  There were a few exceptions.  Of course I needed adhesive which is a staple and has very few substitutions available, and I could purchase items for a project I was asked to do.  At that time I was working on a baby's first year scrapbook for my boss to give his brother and sister-in-law on the birth of their son.

I did it!  I went an entire year and successfully did not spend any money besides my two exceptions.  And it opened my eyes...…………….
We tend to think we have to have the newest and greatest products that come out.  We have to have what our friends have.  Really?  Do we need all this STUFF?   When the year was over, I continued to follow this game plan for another year.  I did lighten up my exceptions and purchased a few new things that second year, BUT I "earned" some money by charging for that baby album as well as sold quite a few retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets that I owned.  I paid for these items from my sales.

Lesson learned...…….you can do any craft on a budget.  Here are a few steps to follow:
1.  ORGANIZE what you have BEFORE you go out and spend any money for newer products.
2.  CHALLENGE yourself to use the products you have.  TRUST me, if you have a "stash" you can go a year using these products and STILL have a stash!
3.  TREAT yourself occasionally - you deserve it!
4.  SHOP sales and price check all the time, still striving for the best quality products.
5.  FACEBOOK and PINTEREST can be your best friend!  I find sewing and quilt patterns all the time that I love.  Search these social media sites to find the FREE!
6.  SMILE and enjoy whatever craft(s) that you LOVE!

Happy Crafting!

New Project & Quilting Update

Woke up to a FRIGID morning where the temps were in the mid teens.  BRRRRRRR
Perfect day to stay inside and work on my quilt, however I have lunch plans with friends as well as a trip to Hobby Lobby!  So worth bundling up and heading out later this morning.

Sunday after the Christmas tree and decorations were take down, I set up a puzzle on our dining area table.  I love to work on puzzles when I have the table available.  Our development has a clubhouse where I am able to rent the main room for the D & D Papercraft Events.  Also this clubhouse has not only a gym, pool room, card room, craft room and library.  The library houses enough books that I will never read them all as well as DVD's and puzzles.  I couldn't resist the "Bacon" puzzle that I saw last week.  All 1000 pieces!  Here is my progress as of Sunday late afternoon.  As of today the border is completed as well as a 6" section in the middle of the puzzle.  Check in Friday to see me progress as I have been working on it at least an hour each day.

Yesterday I chuckled to myself when I took the time to make a "schedule" for the week!  I listed what I needed to do this week in terms of laundry and cleaning and then scheduled in my crafting time for quilting, card making as well as reading and working on my puzzle!  CRAZY is my middle name!

Here is the latest update on my quilt project.  Yesterday morning I ironed all of the 2-1/2" strips that I sewed together last week.  I then cut them in to 6-1/2" blocks per the directions.

Each strip made 3 blocks so I kept the three together.  I was concerned that I didn't duplicate blocks too close to each other while I was setting them out for the table runner and placemats.  It took me almost two hours to "design" the table runner and six placemats.  Here is the picture of the table runner on my kitchen island.
I wasn't too thrilled with the lighter prints that were in the jelly roll I purchased, but once I worked on adding them in to the design I like how they contrast with the darker squares.  All of the projects are pinned and ready to sew.  Stay tuned for an update on Friday to see if I can get all of the blocks dewn together and ready to hand quilt!

Stay warm and Happy Crafting!

Chalk Talk Card Kit

It's Monday again and the short weekend is over!

My one brother-in-law told me during a discussion last year about retirement that once you are retired, every day is a Saturday!  I now believe that, but am still seeing the weekends as "special" since my husband still is working.  We had family over on Saturday for lunch and a visit before the snow arrived.

Monday's are the day that I post a new card kit that I have created from retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets.  Included in addition to the stamp sets are the materials to make 2 cards each of three designs.  The stamps are VERY gently used and in excellent condition.  Stamp pads and tape runner adhesive is not included.  The cards are simple to make and you can substitute a variety of stamp pads that you might already have in your stash.  FIRST person to email me at abolse@yahoo,com will be able to purchase this kit at $35, shipping included.  Invoice will be sent via Paypal, and kit will be mailed as soon as payment is received.  Here is the stamp kit, framelits that are also included in this kit as well as the samples of the cards you will make.  Detailed instructions are also included.

Please feel free to email me any questions you might have about the kit.
Also, the "Hearts a Flutter" kit is still available for sale.  Check out last Monday (January7th) post for information on this kit.  Perfect for Valentine's Day, Anniversary or even Wedding cards.

Have a great week!

Progress on Quilting Project

If I put my mind to something I usually can accomplish it with no problems.  Well I was frustrated for about a half an hour yesterday and I toyed around with the tension on my new Singer sewing machine.  Once that 30 minutes passed, I was back in 7th heaven as I stitched almost all of the strips together for my project.  Here are a few pictures for proof!

It felt so good as I was stitching and making some progress.  I should easily finish sewing the strips together today and then start pressing all of the seams.

For those of you that don't know me from my earlier days, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in "Home Economics".  All through high school and college my first love was sewing and my second love was cooking.  During high school I worked part time in both areas; at a luncheonette counter as well as a fabric store.  Surprising, but I did bring some of my pay check home from the fabric store, but it was sure hard!

At this time I was sewing with a very old machine that was as heavy as could be.  It was imbedded in a desk top in my room, completely designed and made by my dad.  Once I was accepted into college, I took $99 out of my savings and purchased a portable Singer machine.  To make a long story short, this was the BEST machine ever!  When I got my first job after graduation, I purchased a computerized Singer machine with a ton of gadgets and stitches, and even though I liked my first machine.  Hence, the fully loaded computerized machine hasn't worked right in years and I probably spent more on it in repairs than the $500 price tag.  Just a few months ago I went back to the basics and purchased a $100 Singer Machine and love It!

Not really sure what caused me to stop sewing...….it has been years since I have sewed any projects other than repairs and the last big project I did was a skirt for "The Boys" (aka my husband) train display.  A far cry from the days when I made clothes for myself.  I use to have pants and shorts in ever color possible. I made a gown for my sisters Navy Ball dance, a gown for her wedding where I was maid of honor and so many other projects.

I am back now!  Collecting ideas and projects that I want to make.  Trying NOT to go back to those days where I had piles of fabric, taking one project at a time.

Now to publish this post so I can finish my housework "chores" and get back to sewing.

Quilting - Newest Craft Project

Happy Thursday!
Up and raring to go this morning at 5:30 AM.  As long as the hubby is working, I see early mornings for me as well!  That is OK with me, as I can get a ton done in the morning and then have the rest of the days for crafts and reading!

I decided to share today what project I have laying out and ready to work on.  QUILTING!

Years ago, and I mean MANY years ago I took a quilting class where each week we make a different block.  I have no idea what happened to that quilt top, that I completed by never finished with batting, binding and the actually quilting of the top.  I am stoked to start a quilt for our king size bed, however felt the need to start with something a little smaller!  I took the advice of my sister-in-law and found a pattern for a table runner.  Easy enough using either fat quarters or 2-1/2" jelly rolls.  I didn't even know what a jelly roll was a few weeks ago!

After I selected the pattern I headed over to a local quilt store a few miles from my home, https://www.ladyfingerssewing.com/ in Oley, Pennsylvania.  I walked in to the old stone hotel and felt so overwhelmed!  I must have looked "lost" , because a few minutes later a sales person reached out to me to see if I needed any help.  I had my pattern and told her my plans and she took me from area to area in the store to see not only fat quarters I could mix or match, and then she shoed me the jelly rolls.  How clever that after years of not quilting, sewing or visiting fabric stores, that the jelly roll was created!  Whoever came up with this deserves way more than a "high five" from me.  Strips already cut to  2-1/2" wide in coordinating fabrics all rolled up so each of the 40 fabrics included can be seen.

As seen above, I am ready to start sewing the strips together.  All strips were soaked to pre-shrink and ironed to make sure they weren't wrinkled at all.  I decided to post this picture today so I actually start sewing!  The project has been sitting dormant for a week as I worked on some other crafts this past week;  finished a scrapbook page previously started, over a dozen cards were finished as well as the page kit that I posted on Monday that is still available for purchase.

Committing TODAY to start sewing!  Keep me honest and comment below to make sure I actually threaded my machine and started sewing!๐ŸŒ

Hearts a Flutter Card Kit

With having retired from my company December 7th, 2018, I had a LONG list of things I wanted to do now that I am no longer in the work force. ๐ŸŒ Making time for more crafts is my # 1 priority, besides my love of cardmaking and scrapbooking.  Hence, the name of my blog is "Menagerie of Crafts".  My first few weeks I spent preparing for the holidays, and thoroughly enjoyed shopping during the week and not having to fight the weekend and evening crowds.  I also found time to find a cross stitch project to work on as well as a simple quilt placemat set.

Now that we are a week in to the new year, I find myself going through my retired "gently used" Stampin' Up! stamps.  Each week on Monday mornings I am hoping to post one stamp set I am selling.  I am doing this a little different this time, since along with the stamp set I am going to include supplies to make 2 of each 3 different cards using the set.  I know it is challenging for some people to come up with ideas when they purchase a stamp set, so I am taking all of the work out of that process for you!  This first kit is a bonus kit, since a framelit set is also included!  Check out this "Hearts a Flutter" card kit for $35.00, shipping included!

Menagerie of Crafts

It has been WAY TOO long since I last posted!
So much has changed in this past year.  December 7th, 2018 I retired from my position as a Project Manager with my company.  It was time...…

Looking forward to increasing my Stampin' Up! business as well as getting back to some other crafts I did years ago;  Quilting and Counted Cross Stitch are two that I started working on already.

Plans to update this blog to include a "Menagerie of Crafts" in the Very new future.  Just need to make a few decisions about the blog and how to manage it with the help of my very talented niece, Emily!
